The elephant is the largest of all the animals. It is a strange animal to look at It has thick legs, huge sides and back, large cars, small eyes, a short tail and long white tusks. Its long nose or trunk is the queer thing about it. Tame elephants are very useful. They are trained to draw heavy loads. They also perform entertaining acts in the circus. They were used for hunting tigers in olden days. Sometimes they are used in marriage processions. Children love to ride on the elephant.
